Scheurebe "Les Eliades"
Scheurebe, also known as Sampling 88, was created in the early 20th century, like its cousin the Kerner, by crossing a Reisling and a now-extinct grape native to Switzerland called Bukettraube. Scheurebe is a highly sought-after and rare wine that provides a tasting experience unlike any wine we can compare it to.
Bouquet: Hints of Stoneftuit and star anise with a lingering citrus and pear.
Palate: Exquisite balance of spice and fruit with nice undernotes of cardamom and pepper.
Pairings: With a range of versatility, Sceurebe pairs well with seafood and spice dishes to highlight the peppery accents. Goat cheeses and arugula-based salads make an incredible compromise.
